Cricketers Inch Closer to County Finals

Senior School

26 January 2024

Despite the rainy weather, the indoor cricket season has been in full swing with both U13s and U15s competing in a series of league fixtures against local schools.

Each team is competing for a spot at County Finals day in March and both the U13s and the U15s have made an excellent start to their campaigns. The U13s currently have two wins under their belts and the U15s have two wins and one loss. There has been an excellent display of both batting and bowling, with highlights including an incredible 92 runs scored by the U15s last week and the U13s holding their opponents to only 16 runs.

For the U15s, Simran and Isla have both put on an excellent batting display, being retired in two games for reaching the maximum batting score. In the U13 team Sanskriti, Hafsa and Milly have been an unstoppable force when it comes to bowling taking 13 wickets between them in two games!

Well done, girls! We keep our fingers crossed for the final matches and will wait to see which teams have qualified.
