EHS Singers Join Birmingham Voices

When he is not busy being Deputy Director of the Music School, outside of school choir master Mr Skilbeck also leads the fantastic Birmingham Voices choir. At the end of last year, two EHS students joined the choir for a very special performance.
“Over the Christmas break we had the pleasure of joining the Birmingham Voices Choir in ‘The Greatest Show Tunes’ concert at Symphony Hall, with the utterly fantastic London Concert Orchestra and special performances from West End professionals, including Bradley Jaden.
“We met the other choir members for rehearsals the night before the concert. The evening was filled with laughter and an exciting collection of pieces including ‘America’ from West Side Story, ‘Waving through a Window’ from Dear Even Hansen and ‘Wilkomen’ from Cabaret. The next day we joined the orchestra for final rehearsals at Symphony Hall and rounded off the evening with a wonderful performance!
“It was a great experience which we would be happy to take part in again! We would like to say thank you to Mr. Skilbeck for the experience and hope to be back for next year’s performance.”
