Farewell, Year 13

Sixth Form

17 May 2019

Last week saw several events take place to celebrate Year 13’s final week in school and to wish them good luck in their forthcoming A Level examinations. As well as attending their final lessons, Year 13 also enjoyed the opportunity to have some fun along the way and switch off from their academic studies.

In keeping with tradition, Year 13’s final week was dress up week! The first day back saw the year group come in to school dressed in 70s and 80s Disco attire, before dressing up in a Mario Kart theme on Wednesday. They returned to school in their school uniforms for their final morning in school before study leave. Staff and fellow pupils were very impressed with their fancy dress outfits and enjoyed seeing Mario Kart players come to life around school.

The girls and their parents were invited to a wonderful Leavers Supper on Wednesday evening where we enjoyed celebrating with the year group and wishing them good luck ahead of their examinations. In true EHS Sixth Form style, the supper ended with the girls having a dance and a sing along to their favourite tunes.

On the Thursday morning, staff joined girls to enjoy a farewell breakfast before a very special leavers assembly, sharing with the rest of Senior School the highlights and memories of their time in school.

The week was thoroughly enjoyable for both staff and students alike, and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of Year 13 the best of luck in their A Level examinations.  We look forward to celebrating the end of examinations with the girls at the Leavers Ball and, of course, on results day in August.
