French Spectacle inspires and entertains
19 October 2018
Prep girls were treated to a unique French performance entitled ‘Le Bistro de Dan Roro’. As soon as the girls entered the Octagon, they were greeted with French music and the backdrop to a French-style café.
The performance itself comprised French mime, comedy, circus tricks, puppetry and, of course, lots of French phrases and vocabulary. The girls were wowed by the plate spinning, unicycle riding and egg balancing trick. The show really did have something to offer for all ages.
It also addressed some French stereotypes, reminding the girls that French people do not typically dress in striped t-shirts and berets but dress similarly to British people.
A thought-provoking, yet entertaining and interactive performance which will be the topic of conversation for some time in Prep School. What a perfect way to brighten up a windy and rainy afternoon! Bravo Dan Roro!
