Geographers in the Field
21 October 2022
On the last day of half term, Year 11 Geographers travelled to Carding Mill Valley in Shropshire on a field trip to investigate how a river changes downstream. We were blessed with dry weather and enjoyed getting our wellies on and getting in the river. We measured the width, velocity and bed load of the river and will compare our results from the middle, lower and upper sections when we are back in school.
We saw some friendly sheep and dogs and had a really good day in the great outdoors.
