Promising start for Year 7

Senior School

14 September 2018

Year 7 have had an excellent first week at Edgbaston High School. They have settled quickly into the EHS way of life, demonstrating true ‘EHS spirit’.

Over the course of the week, they have begun successfully navigating around the school and got stuck into lessons. Along with enjoying their new found freedom (many of them have commented on this!), they also enjoyed receiving a notebook from the Old Girls’ Association (OGA) and being welcomed into the EHS community by the OGA Chairman, Lindsay Lucas.

Numerous girls will be highlighted over the year for their outstanding organisational skills and times when they have been exceptionally kind or shown great resilience. This week the following girls to receive Laurel Awards are as follows:

  • Siena Henry, Poppy Couzens and Celine Braham who are to be commended for being brilliantly organised;
  • Jorja Newling who demonstrated particular kindness to others;
  • Katie King and Sanjana Raghavendran for consistently demonstrating ‘EHS spirit’.

Congratulations to the award winners and to all Year 7 pupils who have made a positive start to their time at EHS. Keep up the good work!

Ms Jones-Owen
Head of Year 7
