'La Casa Encantada'
11 May 2018
On Tuesday, 8 May 2018, girls learning Spanish from Years 8 to 12 had the opportunity to see “La Casa Encantada”, a play in Spanish performed by native actors from the Gloucestershire-based Onatti theatre company.
“La Casa Encantada” was a really fun play in which two teenagers, Antonio and Camila, who happen to be camping as part of a school trip, find an isolated house which has some hidden surprises.
The play was hugely enjoyable, and it provided all girls with a valuable opportunity to develop their listening skills at the same time as widen their Spanish vocabulary. The girls thought that it was “cleverly staged, as well as funny and interactive”.
On behalf of the MFL department, I would like to thank all girls involved for their enthusiasm. In particular, Rita Amune (8B) demonstrated a real flair for performance as she was asked by the actors to cooperate for part of the play. All girls responded very well and helped make this once more a very rewarding experience.
