Learning about the Bard

Having enjoyed learning about today’s digital age earlier in the week, pupils in Year 6 focused on a different form of communication on Wednesday when they were involved in an interactive workshop on ‘Macbeth’.
Performers from the Young Shakespeare Company acted out the well-known play with the help of our pupils, who took parts of other important characters and helped to create the mystical atmosphere.
Girls were amazed by the magical costumes, props and sound effects that really brought the play to life. The performers also helped the girls to understand the complex language used by Shakespeare which be helpful when they complete their Shakespeare drama unit later in the year.
