Making Waves in the Pool

It has been a bustling term at the swimming pool! Prep girls have been working hard on their swimming skills, confidence building and lifesaving introduction.
The Senior School have been equally busy. Year 7 groups have focused on improving their swimming skills, strokes, diving and lifesaving too. Meanwhile, Year 8 and Year 9 swimmers were introduced to synchronised swimming, working on their rotation skills and team work to choreograph a small synchronised routine.
Our Lifesaving Club has been especially busy with the 100 Years RLSS Commemorative Award. The girls have been learning different rescue techniques, communication skills and will dive into First Aid, CPR with Defibrillator training next term. The eight Assistant Instructors, alongside Mrs Hayward, have worked very hard, to ensure that all the girls are showing competent rescue skills.
Both the Prep and Senior School swim teams have done amazingly well in competitions and I am sure everyone is looking forward to a restful half term.
