Maths Masterclass Tests Theorem

During Monday lunchtime, a group of Year 8s attended the Maths Masterclass, a co-curricular activity, to look more in depth at ‘Four Colour Theorem’. This is a theorem that states only four colours are needed to colour in any map so that no two adjacent countries are the same colour. To test the theory they applied this to maps of England, USA and Africa.
Attached is an example completed by Alyzah Hussain in 8B.
