MFL trip to Seville

Senior School | Sixth Form

14 December 2018

In October Half Term 2019, the MFL Department are organising a trip to Seville in Spain. Seville is a beautiful city situated right in the very south of Spain and the capital of Spain’s Southern Andalusia region. It is famous for flamenco dancing and its stunning Arabic-influenced architecture.

We will be flying to Malaga and will have the opportunity to experience many of the delights that this region has to offer, including a visit to the flamenco museum and a flamenco workshop, a river cruise on the Guadalquivir river, a chance to visit and explore the Santa Cruz old town, some tapas tasting and a visit to Alcazar, the oldest royal palace still in use in the world.  We will also be spending a full day at Isla Magica, the biggest theme and water park in the region.

This is a very sunny region of Spain with warm temperatures in October.  On this bespoke trip, we are aiming to give everyone the opportunity to experience the roots of Spanish culture including flamenco dancing, to learn about the Arabic influences on the culture and about the food of the region.

This trip is open to any girl in the current Years 7 to 12 who are interested in learning more about this area of Spain.

If you would like to come to Seville, please print out the attached letter and return the reply slip, together with a deposit of £100. The deadline is Tuesday 8 January but please reply early to avoid disappointment as places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
