MP visit puts politics on the agenda

On Friday 23 March, Preet Gill, MP for Birmingham Edgbaston, visited EHS. Preet gave a wide ranging talk about her pathway into politics, her previous career in social care, and her motivations for becoming an MP.
She welcomed questions from the girls about a wide range of issues, from recent foreign affairs to political education in schools, and also gave advice to those who might be interested in a political career in the future. She was also very interested in the opinions of our girls, who were open and forthcoming with their views. The talk was attended by girls from across the year groups and was appreciated by all. We look forward to further events featuring Ms Gill in the future.
