Louise Takes Strides for Teenage Cancer Trust

Senior School | Sixth Form

24 September 2021

Since leaving EHS, former staff member Louise Mooney has been training hard, preparing to run her third half marathon.

She is running in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust which is the only UK charity dedicated to meeting the needs of young people with cancer, and their families, and supporting them through the challenges that cancer presents to them.

In April, during her last year of teaching, one of the girls in Mrs Mooney’s year group was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. This was clearly devastating news for all who knew and loved her and happily, the student is now cancer free and able to look ahead with positivity. Throughout her illness the Teenage Cancer Trust were a great source of advice for the family, helping them to navigate the way through what has been an incredibly difficult time.

The half marathon will take place in central London in October. If you wish to support Louise in her running challenge please visit her JustGiving page
