New Pupils Enjoy Induction Day

Senior School

02 July 2021

Induction Day is always a highlight - an opportunity for new pupils to familiarise themselves with the school and make friends ahead of the new school year. Due to restrictions, for the first time the event took on a new format and was held outdoors at the playing fields.

Over the course of the day the girls enjoyed several lessons including an art lesson where they learnt about colour mixing and a lesson where they were introduced to Greek mythology. Ms Jones-Owen took the opportunity to launch the Year 7 Readathon, giving the girls plenty of time to get started over the summer. Finally, they enjoyed a group dance session to ‘Hairspray’ and, of course, it wouldn’t be an EHS event without a visit from the ice cream van!

We were delighted to be able to hold this event and we look forward to welcoming our new pupils back in September for the start of Year 7.
