Nursery Rhymers
29 November 2019
Last week was national Nursery Rhyme Week and our youngest pupils spent the week engaged in a wide range of activities linked to well-known favourite rhymes. There were practical activities rescuing ‘Incy Wincy Spider’, printing ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’, building a wall for ‘Humpty Dumpty’ and magnetic fishing with numbers for ‘1,2,3,4,5 Once I Caught a Fish Alive’ in addition to nursery rhyme colouring and jigsaws.
On Thursday we invited parents and staff to join the girls in Nursery to share some activities and rhymes together. Mrs Macro, our new Headmistress, also joined in and
enjoyed meeting everyone. There was a quiz for the parents to complete to test their knowledge and opportunities for all to share the rhymes in the books.
