It has been an unusual start to the Spring Term with snow, and girls working from home once again, which is not what we hoped for.  The girls have, however been working hard and it has been good to see them during assemblies and live sessions.

We ended last week in our usual way with our Celebration Assembly.  We congratulated girls in Year 2 with a number of Well Done certificates and there were individual successes too.  Sanskriti in Year 5 is a very keen cricketer and we are delighted to hear that she has been selected for Warwickshire Under 11 Girls County Cricket Program following successful selection trials. She will be training with the squad over the winters and then play matches during summers.

We also congratulate Nia in Year 4 who passed her LCM Singing - Music Theatre Grade 2 with Distinction.  This was Nia’s first ever, singing examination and we are very proud of all her hard work and her achievement.  Well done to all of these girls.

I have really enjoyed looking at all of the work the girls have been doing so far this term including the Enrichment activities, which they are sharing with us from home and we will be launching this term’s Independent Learning Challenge tomorrow.

I have been particularly impressed this week by the artwork that the girls have created.  You can view some of the Year 5 Cubist style portraits in the separate news article and, featured in this article, is some Year 6 work.  Girls have been sketching spring flowers and have created some Op Art designs.  This is just a selection of the excellent work that has been completed.

Well done girls for all your hard work, keep it up!
