Pumpkin Pie

EHS manages the community allotment at the historic Guinea Gardens. It has a pond, apple orchard and large raised bed gardening area which are enjoyed by all girls in the Prep School for a variety of activities at different times of the year.
Our Prep gardening club works hard with a group of dedicated parents to make it a valuable resource.
Year 3 girls were some of the first to visit our allotment this academic year and they put their Mathematics skills to good use. The girls estimated the weight of the pumpkin before weighing it accurately to find it was 8.7kg.
Congratulations to Grace, Emma and Talia who demonstrated accurate estimation skills.
