Stories Published by EHS Creative Writers!
18 September 2020
A number of EHS girls have been successful in having their work published in a special national collection.
In the summer, the students submitted a mini saga to the Young Writers’ ‘SOS Sagas’ competition. They had to write a story of challenge, escape and survival in just 100 words, being as descriptive as possible in their limited word count.
The following girls have been successful in having their work published:
Zara Khalid, Jasmine Kalirai, Martha Abbott, Hannaya Sajid, Daisy Edmonds, Isabelle Curry, Jannah Hussain, Sienna Henry, Renee Henry, Olivia Casey, Lucy Abbott, Isobel Hemming, Manisha Ark, Aamnah Aqdis, Emmie McLaughlan, Amelie Moylan, Cassy Molokwu.
Congratulations to all of the girls who took part. Those who have ordered books will receive them very soon, along with order forms for those who have not yet decided to order a copy.
Many of the girls also attend the school’s Creative Writing Club, which is run by two teachers from the English Department and takes place on a Friday lunchtime. Students should also keep an eye on the competitions noticeboard in the English corridor for forthcoming activities they can get involved in.
