Thank A Teacher Day

Westbourne

22 May 2020

20 May is traditionally known as national Thank A Teacher Day.

Working remotely has been a challenge for everyone as we would much rather see each other every day but the teachers have enjoyed hearing from girls and parents who have shared their thanks during the last few weeks, not just on one day.

They come in the form of voice messages wishing staff 'Good Morning' or thanking them for reading a story; sharing an independent learning activity they have done at home; or presenting their creative writing.  These are a few of the messages received by teachers in Reception.

β€œThank you for the story. My favourite part was when they all became friends. πŸ˜Šβ€

β€œβ€¦ really proud and grateful to have such lovely educational environments and talented committed staff for our children.”

β€œThank you πŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’“πŸ’žπŸ’πŸ’œβ€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™β€

β€œ... liked this, especially the magic clock on the ground.”

β€œThank you, Miss Robinson, Pepper loved the story and thought it was really funny.”

β€œThis is one of Haya’s favourite books, thank you for the reading.”

β€œMrs Bowler, I liked the story very much. I liked the open and closed sign, I am going to make one for my bedroom.”

Thank you Miss Brenner, I hope you have a lovely week too!”

β€œWe enjoyed doing this as a family πŸ™‚β€

β€œHoping you are well, we LOVE your videos from home (and by the way LOVE your wallpaper!! It’s soooo nice!).  πŸ™‚”

All of these messages have helped everyone to stay connected during this time of β€˜working together whilst apart.’
