Westbourne at work
27 September 2019
The girls in Westbourne enjoy the variety of activities that make up their learning experiences both inside and outside of the classroom.
This week in Kindergarten the girls have been learning how to operate the code-a-pillar. They will be using him to learn to give simple instructions and to learn about early coding. Using technology is an important skill for the future and they will be well prepared.
In Reception, the girls have made the most of the lovely sunshine by having fun in the outdoor area. Girls new to Reception particularly enjoyed climbing the trees or playing with the water and catching fish! Also, as part of their topic area of 'Food', girls have enjoyed learning where vegetables are found and have tasted some of them.
Girls in R3 have made pirate ships and then played a game to help them learn to recognise numbers and count accurately. They used a spinner and whichever number it landed on they had to place that amount on foil treasure in their ship by counting it into their ship accurately.
It is lovely to see girls of all ages enjoying their learning and watching them growing in confidence with their studies.
