Westbourne girls enjoy Sam Langley-Swain author visit
25 January 2019
On Wednesday, girls and staff in Westbourne enjoyed a visit from Sam Langley-Swain, the author of the book ‘Elephants in the Custard’.
Sam read his story to each year group. The story is about a boy called Sol who has the craziest dinner time when he finds elephants in his custard! He feels worried and wants to tell his family about them, but everyone looks too busy. As his worries begin to grow, good old Granny comes to the rescue. The story shows the importance of making time to talk as a family.
After reading, Sam helped the girls with their writing and artwork.
The girls were excited about their 'Beyond the Curriculum' day and even came to school wearing yellow!
