Year 13 Bring The Fun Factor

Sixth Form

07 May 2021

After weeks of lockdown, Year 13 ramped up the fun factor this week as they celebrated their final week in school before they embark on study leave next week.

As well as being treated to a special breakfast and Celebration Assembly, the leavers have raised a few smiles (and maybe some eyebrows) with their antics throughout the week.  There has been a party atmosphere in the Sixth Form Centre and the girls have enjoyed three days of dress-up: Wednesday's theme was popstars, Thursday was Netflix characters and today they have come to school wearing their old school uniforms.

The girls will end their week with a dedicated assembly on Friday afternoon before embarking on study leave in preparation for returning for their formal assessment period. The Class of 2021 will then also be returning to EHS after half term for a one-week programme to help them get ready for life at University. As well as workshops in basic cookery and nutrition, the girls will be given masterclasses in self-defence, first aid, leadership and, courtesy of HSBC, a much-needed crash-course in finance and budgeting.

It's been a brilliant week and bought some much-needed light relief after a year of lockdowns, restrictions and uncertainty. We will miss them greatly and wish them all the very best in their final assessments. Keep in touch Class of 2021 and don't forget to sign up to the Old Girls Association!
