Year 6 Enrichment

Following their hard work in the Autumn Term to prepare for examinations and the Spring Term focus on drama in readiness for the recent production, the Year 6 girls are now enjoying broadening their skills as their Enrichment programme has begun.

This week offered the opportunity for the girls to sit back and enjoy the Senior School production of Hound of the Baskervilles after their own performance triumph.

A musical opportunity was the activity for one group as they experienced some African Drumming with Mr Powell from our Music Department. The session extended their understanding of rhythm and gave plenty of chance to create their own compositions.

Other girls put their research skills to good use as they visited the Botanical Gardens with the brief of creating an advertising leaflet. They were able to explore the surroundings and decide on suitable images to promote the venue; the playground and fish are most definitely going to feature.

There is a wealth of other opportunities to follow which the girls are looking forward to.
