Year 7 feeling festive
15 December 2017
Over the last fortnight, Year 7 have been channelling the festive spirit. During Monday lunchtime they were invited into the library to make Christmas cards. The sound of Bing Crosby filled the air (as did the smell of chocolate) as they set to work on their designs. The glitter and snow shakers proved a popular (albeit messy!) decorative choice. Cards were written and bundled away into bags to be ‘gifted’ at a later date!
On Wednesday, the year group set out to see Sir Peter Wright’s production of ‘The Nutcracker’ at Birmingham Hippodrome. The girls have been studying ‘The Nutcracker’ in Performing Arts and it was fantastic to watch their faces light up and hear their gasps of excitement as they watched the ballet come to life in front of their eyes!
Our Christmas activities have been a brilliant complement to the festive season so far.
