Talented textilers produce perfect pyjamas

Year 7 D&T Textiles students were given a design brief in September to design and make a pair of pyjamas suitable for 12-14 year olds. They worked on their practical skills from seam samples, ironing and learning how to thread the sewing machine, ready to make their final product.
Choosing the correct fabric was an essential part of the challenge: it had to meet the needs of and be attractive to the target market as well as be comfortable for pyjamas bottoms. The girls researched various products, worked with different fabrics and they all chose fabulous fabric in a variety of colours and decorated the waist with bows as a final flourish!
As you can see, the end result is fantastic and the girls are very proud of their achievements.
