Anya, a pupil in the Prep School, recently had a birthday. In place of birthday presents she made the decision to ask family and friends to make a donation to Everybody Prosper DBS Wolverhampton, a charity which was launching a foodbank in Smethwick.

The foodbank was opened last Friday and following her fundraising efforts Anya was invited to attend the ceremony, showing the contribution that anyone of any age can make.  At the end of the event Anya, supported by her sister Amara, was invited to cut the cake in front of the attendees at the ceremony which was also attended by the Mayor. Anya was not phased at all by the event and performed her duty well.

We are proud of Anya’s generous action and thanks to the generosity of her family and friends she donated £250 to this important foodbank which will help many people. She was presented with a Headteacher’s Certificate in our Celebration Assembly.
