Tuesday's spring weather was a perfect setting for the All Stars Cricket workshop, delivered by Warwickshire Cricket Board for girls in Years 1 and 2. The taster session was thoroughly enjoyed by all of the girls who took part in the games and activities, geared towards developing bat handling through fun relays.

Giggles and laughter could be heard amongst the girls who worked together successfully in pairs and small groups as they were challenged to apply their rolling, retrieving, throwing and catching skills. Girls quickly progressed to striking and fielding games and many of them showed great enthusiasm in all of the activities.

Thursday's cold wind did not deter our Year 3 and 4 girls who took part in the first Dynamos Cricket Workshop to take place at EHS. Both year groups thoroughly loved the progressive catching and fielding games which were a prelude to a game of continuous cricket. A real hit, particularly amongst Year 4.

Many of our girls were able to showcase their batting skills and the vast majority remarked on how much they are looking forward to playing cricket in the summer term.

Armed with wristbands and leaflets with sign-up information, it is very likely that All Stars and Dynamos Cricket will see a number of EHS girls at local clubs this summer.
