EHS Prep Girls continue to shine in the Junior Language Challenge
22 January 2021
Prep girls from Years 3 to 6 have been busy, since September, improving their French in Round One of the national Junior Language Challenge. This is a National Competition against other Prep and primary schools from around the country.
We are delighted with the first round scores, with 11 girls scoring over 4000 points, five of whom gained the top score of 4950 points. The top five girls were Emma, Bhavna, Ellie, (all Year 6) Darcey, (Year 4) and Amaya, (Year 3). The remaining six girls were Naina, Safa, Linda, Shayanna, Anya and Mahi, all Year 4.
The Second Round language is German. Although Round Two has been made available to all entrants, only those with the highest scores will be able to continue to the final round. The last language is as of yet unknown to any of our final girls. There will be Zoom meetings in the coming weeks to support the girls with their German.
A huge congratulations to all of the girls who have entered. They would all certainly agree that they have learnt many new words and phrases in French. Their new language challenge awaits...
Felicitations!
