Inside the Discovery Den

This week in the Discovery Den girls have been learning about recycling. This is an important topic and the girls have enjoyed finding out how they can help to save the planet.
All girls in Nursery, Kindergarten and Reception have been challenged to sort items into recycling bags and to think about all of the waste we have. They have also been encouraged to be imaginative in making new creations through upcycling. This, and junk modelling, proved to be very popular. The girls also enjoyed a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books based on the theme. A favourite activity in the Discovery Den was moving shredded paper in the tuff tray using the diggers!
We hope the girls share their learning with parents by encouraging lots of recycling.
