Year 3 Roman Legions!

As part of their History topic on Early Invaders Year 3 girls visited the Lunt Roman Fort in Baginton this week.
The Lunt is an early wooden Roman fort. Parts of it have been reconstructed so the girls were able to patrol the ramparts, train to march Roman style and act as Roman soldiers.
The highlight of the day was dressing up as Roman soldiers and learning to fight with Roman shields and swords.
This experience helped to bring classroom studies to life.
