Using our senses

In Science this term Year 2 girls are learning about their five senses.
They have started by investigating what it is like to be visually impaired. In pairs, they took turns to blindfold each other and guide each other around the playground. They used their sense of touch to feel and guess objects. They used their sense of hearing to listen to instructions from their partner.
The Eye Heroes Team visited the girls to talk about how our eyes work and why it is important to have our eye sight checked by an optician regularly. The girls followed this workshop by making eye collages showing the main parts of the eye.
