'Phantom' opens to rave reviews

03 November 2017

You cannot have missed the fact that the school’s much-anticipated production of Phantom of the Opera finally opened this week. School is absolutely buzzing with energy and excitement, and those who have already watched the show have been effusive in their praise of this ambitious production.

The cast and crew are to be praised for their dedication: Actors, singers, musicians, dancers, makeup artists, costumiers, technical and lighting crew have all worked tirelessly, even coming in for rehearsals during over October half term, to bring the stage show to vivid life.

We saw a fittingly spooky opening night on Tuesday 31 October, Hallowe'en, when audience members were encouraged to come in fancy dress. Performances took place on Wednesday and Thursday, with a matinée and the final Gala night performances due to take place today, Friday 3 November.

We are pleased to share with you some images from some of the rehearsals and shall bring you much more about Phantom next week. In the meantime, we offer our congratulations to all students and staff involved, and thank them for what is proving to be a truly spectacular show!
