Rehearsals in full flow

Senior School | Sixth Form

30 November 2018

Excitement is growing around the school as the 2018 production ‘The 39 Steps’ approaches. Students and staff have been working very hard during rehearsals learning lines, blocking the production and of course, the huge behind the scenes effort with sets, costumes, lighting, make up, sound and music.

‘The 39 Steps’ is a parody adapted from the 1915 novel by John Buchan and the 1935 film by Alfred Hitchcock. The original concept and production of a four-actor version of the story was by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon. Patrick Barlow rewrote this adaptation in 2005.

With ‘The 39 Steps’ we have an intriguing, thrilling, riotous and unmissable comedy. The show hurtles a notorious fugitive and a spellbound blonde from a London music hall north by northwest to Scotland’s most remote highlands. Will they save Britain from a den of devious spies?

Tickets for this production go on sale shortly so look out for further information on Friday Headlines.  There will be two performances held on December 6 and 7.
