Retelling Ancient Myth

We recently welcomed Dr Emily Hauser from Exeter University to school to deliver a talk on retelling classical myths in the modern world. This was open to all pupils in Years 7-13 and we were delighted that so many girls took the opportunity to hear Dr Hauser speak.
The talk was both academically enriching and thoroughly enjoyable. The girls asked so many interesting questions, clearly curious about both Dr Hauser’s academic and her literary endeavours. We hope the girls are inspired not only to read the works of Dr Hauser, but to delve into this new trend of retelling of classical myths and feminine perspectives.
We hope to welcome Dr Hauser back to Edgbaston in the future!
