Students get hands on with Roman artefacts

Year 11 Latin and Greek pupils recently participated in an artefact handling session. A PhD student from the University of Birmingham presented on the topic of Roman civilisation and brought artefacts from the ancient world for us to handle.
This was an opportunity for the girls to interact with objects from the ancient world relevant to topics in their GCSE studies. The girls particularly enjoyed the beautiful glassware and dinner party scenes depicted on the pottery. We are very much looking forward to repeating the event next year.
