Stepping up to the Schools Challenge
10 November 2017
On Wednesday 8 November, two teams from EHS took part in the 2017 South Midlands version of the Schools Challenge Regional Round Competition, held at King Edward's School, Birmingham.
This year saw a record number of 16 teams enter the event. Both EHS1 and EHS2 teams took part in round two, both being drawn against last year’s champions, Shrewsbury School.
The quiz was very challenging and even featured two questions on EHS Old Girls! Despite a fierce and competitive battle, the girls were beaten by the overall winners of the 2017 event, the boys from Shrewsbury. Well done to the EHS1 team, Martha Howell, Lucie Carey, Lucy Philips and Constance Davies and the EHS2 team, Onella Samuel-Thambiah, Nicole Barker, Sohini Guha, Rominique Deol and Omala Abrol, all in Year 9.
We look forward to next year’s event!
