Waterworks extend science curriculum

On Tuesday 27 February, we welcomed a representative from Severn Trent Water to the Prep School who, with the help of some girls in Years 3- 6, presented an assembly on the journey of water from our rivers to the tap.
Justin explained all of the processes involved in ensuring the water is clean enough for us to drink and reminded us that we are very lucky to have safe water available so readily. He also included many statistics about how much water we waste and challenged the girls to go home and share the information with their families. They were also encouraged to make a pledge to save water and to ask parents to send for a free Water Saving Box - these can be ordered from www.savewatersavemoney.co.uk
During the morning Justin delivered some workshops to girls in Year 5.which helped to extend curriculum work being covered in Geography and Science.
