Westbourne Visitor Retells the Christmas Story

On Tuesday afternoon, after performing their version of the Nativity to their parents, Reception and Kindergarten girls enjoyed a visit from Chris Mitton, the vicar at Anchor church, who told them about the Christmas story.
He brought with him a big box full of different gifts that were taken out in turn, such as smelly socks, a Christmas jumper, chocolates, a toilet roll. The girls had to put their thumbs up or down to decide whether it was a gift they would like or not.
Chris then showed the girls a short video about the very first Christmas when Jesus was born. After this the girls discovered a hidden compartment at the bottom of the big box
and Chris took out 'baby Jesus. Chris told them that Christians believe Jesus is the greatest gift and celebrate his birth at Christmas.
