What's on in Westbourne

Westbourne

10 December 2021

In addition to working hard on their lines and learning songs for the performance of ‘The Big Little Nativity’ the girls have enjoyed learning and using a range of other skills too.

They have all enjoyed visiting the Christmas Fair and taking part in the different activities.

In Nursery, they have completed some Christmas crafts.  They have decorated crowns for their Party Day and photo frames for their elf selfies and have designed Christmas cards and calendars too.  In Mathematics and pre writing lessons they have matched the numeral on the baubles to the correct Christmas tree and matched the Christmas items by joining them with horizontal lines.  They have also found the penguin pairs by matching the outfits.

In Reception, girls have been writing their letters to Father Christmas this week. They then posted them in the Westbourne Christmas post-box. We hope Father Christmas will enjoy reading them.  They have been very good all year and hope he may even bring one of the gifts for them when he comes for his visit to school.

Winter has well and truly arrived in Reception with the onset of the cold winds!  Girls have written about the meaning of Winter and painted and drawn snowmen and winter scenes.

What a busy week!
