Year 2 time-travellers

Our time travelling Year 2 pupils were transported back to 1666, the year of the Great Fire of London when they took part in an exciting workshop.
Throughout the day Year 2 experienced a range of tasks that people of the time would have undertaken. These included making candles, sewing handkerchiefs, creating leatherwork and experiencing the terrifying equipment of the Barber Surgeon.
They then went on an exciting archaeological dig collecting a range of artefacts to find out about the people who may have been affected by the tragedy of 1666.
They had a wonderful day working together and with parents, developing and extending their skills and knowledge. A great day was had by all!
