Year 5 Experiment in the Lab

This week the Senior School Biology Department have been very excited to finally welcome back Year 5 into a Biology lesson with a difference.
Due to the pandemic this had not been possible for a few years, but this year's cohort were very excited to come to the Biology labs and experience the joys of looking through leaf litter. We found many different species of bugs and had a mini competition to see who could find the most woodlice, we had some record breaking numbers! The students also had some very athletic centipedes as well as finding snails, spiders and millipedes. The students were all extremely excited and thoroughly enjoyed their experience.
Well done to everyone who participated, Mrs Eveleigh for arranging the days and Science technicians for collecting some excellent leaf litter! No harm came to any of the
bugs!
