Learning about Aztec civilisation

The members of Year 5 History Club performed an assembly about Aztec Civilization for all the pupils in Prep on Thursday 16 January.
Some members took on acting roles and others shared interesting facts.
The audience discovered more about Montezuma the second who became emperor of the Aztecs in 1502 and lived in a palace in Tenochtitlan, the greatest Aztec city. They also learned about the role of Hernando Cortes, a Spaniard who liked adventure, in the demise of the Aztec empire.
History Club recommended an excellent book that Prep pupils could buy or borrow from Miss Deacon or the Library if they wish to find out more.
