Year 7 activity trip a great success
12 October 2018
Last week, Year 7 embarked on a three day residential trip to Kingswood Activity Centre.
This highly anticipated trip was an ideal time for girls to get stuck into activities such as rock climbing and the much-loved zip wire. The weather was on our side and once the girls had acclimatised to the rather ‘fresh’ smell of the countryside they bedded into their dorms, enjoyed a hot meal and got wrapped up ready for the camp fire. The centre leaders got us all on our feet as we sung our hearts out - we were then rewarded with piping hot drinks and toasted marshmallows.
The second day was jam-packed full of a range of activities including the infamous ‘Nightline’ activity, which required a full set of waterproofs! Our last evening gave the girls the opportunity to dance the evening away as both teachers and students enthusiastically participated in some timeless dance routines. The following morning, another hearty breakfast and a further two activities such as archery and a Team challenge brought the trip to a close.
It was clear from the laughter and the giggling on the coach home that, although tired, the girls had made many new friends and a whole heap of memories.
