This week, we set our Year 11 GCSE Physics students a challenge: to design and build a structure made from index cards, with only scissors, but no glue or tape, allowed! 

There were prizes in each class for the tallest and the most ‘architecturally-interesting’ buildings and it often came down to just a couple of centimetres or an extra flourish when judging the winners! Everyone had a great time and we certainly seem to have more than a few budding engineers and architects amongst our girls.
