Caitlin Awarded DipABRSM with Distinction

A level Music student and joint student Head of Music Caitlin Kisumba completed her DipABRSM (practical performance diploma) at the end of last term and is delighted to have been awarded the mark of distinction by the ABRSM.
This diploma is a considerable step up from grade 8 and the recital requirement for this award are considerable. Caitlin performed a thirty-five-minute programme that featured major repertoire for the Violin which included the Grieg Violin Sonata and Beethoven Romance Op. 50.
In addition to the practical element to this examination, Caitlin had to prepare a detailed set of programme notes to accompany her chosen pieces and complete an interview with the examiner and a quick study assessment.
This is a fantastic achievement. We commend Caitlin for her outstanding work in this area and her contribution to Music at EHS.
