Charity Fun
01 July 2022
On Tuesday the playground was a buzz of excitement for a different reason than just a day at schooI: it was the morning of the Prep Charity Fair.
This was an event instigated by our Prep Parliament just a few years ago but has become a firm favourite in our calendar now we can hold school events once again.
Each class works together to create a stall for the fair. Their class teacher is, of course, on hand to help support the process. They design any posters, work out the help rota and gather any materials. This year our House Captains also ran some activities.
Prep invited the Reception girls to join us to spend their 20ps to raise money for charity and extra playtime equipment.
As usual the stalls were very varied and included, guess the name of the bear and sweets in a jar, throwing target games, treasure map, netball shooting, buy a book, spin the wheel, pin the horn on the unicorn and the lamp on the lady and of course the favourite ‘Splat the Teacher.’
It was a wonderful morning with the girls having to make independent choices about how to spend their money and watching our older girls helping the youngest. They enjoyed winning a range of small prizes and are eagerly awaiting the results of other games.
The total raised will be announced at the end of term. Well done to everyone.
