Creative Content: Schools Art Festival Takes To Twitter
28 May 2021
Twitter has been awash with creativity today as schools and colleges posted creative content in the first online Festival of School and College Arts.
Designed to showcase the fantastic creative work created by children and young people, the online Festival used the hashtag #EduArtsFest to celebrate the vital role that the arts and creativity play in all our lives following a year of challenges and disruption.
The event aimed to flood twitter with the voices of children and young people playing music, performing
drama, sharing artwork, poetry, singing, or dancing. EHS is showcasing a fraction of the amazing work generated by our own students in support of the event and you can
take a look by visiting @Edgbaston_High if you’re on Twitter.
The Festival of School and College Arts is a joint initiative between ASCL and the Association of Colleges (AoC), Confederation of School Trusts (CST), the Independent Schools
Council (ISC), National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT), the NASUWT teachers’ union, National Education Union (NEU), the National Governance Association (NGA), and
the Sixth Form Colleges Association (SFCA). The festival is also being supported by the Cultural Learning Alliance which champions a right to arts and culture for every
child.
