Announcing our new Head Girl

Edgbaston High School is delighted to announce Anya as Head Girl elect for the academic year 2019-20.
Anya joined the school as a pupil in Year 7. Now in Year 12, she is studying for A Levels in English Literature, French, Latin and Maths and is an active member of the school’s community, contributing to this year’s Young Enterprise company and working with pupils in Westbourne.
Selection of the Head Girl is a key feature of the Senior School year. The rigorous election process begins with written applications, followed by interviews with both the Senior staff and the current Head Girl and Deputies. Shortlisted girls are required to give a speech to the whole school and, finally, votes given by pupils in Year 11 and the Sixth Form, and staff.
