Old Girl Shares Experience With Pupils
17 June 2022
We were delighted to welcome Old Girl Humaa Asif back to EHS to give a careers talk to girls from across several year groups.
Humaa works in the field of biomedical sciences. During her visit, she spoke to students about her career journey. After A Levels at EHS and some related volunteer work, she studied a four year degree covering subjects such as immunology, molecular pathology and haemotology, and completed a placement year. In her current job as a Tissue Bank Technician at the Human Biomaterials Resource Centre she helps hospitals release fresh and frozen human tissues to researchers.
Pupils gained useful insight into the variety of careers that science A-levels can lead to and entry requirements for university as well as a glimpse into what life might be like as a university undergraduate.
It was wonderful to have Humaa back at EHS and we thank her for taking the time to share her experiences with our students.
