On Friday 9 March, sixteen excited members of the Year 6 Netball Squad set off for the annual EHS Prep Netball Tour to Portsmouth with Miss Brown, Mrs Aston and Mrs
Woodfield.
After settling into hotel rooms the girls enjoyed an evening of ten pin bowling, arcade games and food at the American Diner.
Saturday morning brought an early start (eased slightly by a delicious cooked breakfast!) for an U11 netball tournament at St. John’s College. The two EHS teams played with
great enthusiasm and skill, with the ‘A’ team being presented with silver medals as tournament runners up.
During the afternoon the girls had the opportunity to sample the shopping delights of Gunwharf Quays and to survey the whole of Portsmouth from the top of the Spinnaker Tower.
After another delicious meal the girls took part in a netball quiz before a much-needed sleep!
Sunday morning saw the squad return to St. John’s for a mix-in tournament with girls from both schools combining in new teams. This gave everyone a valuable opportunity to try
new positions and work with new friends.
An extremely busy but enjoyable weekend for all!
